Typically: product description, lot/batch, production/expiry dates, quantity per case, and a barcode—usually ITF-14 (GTIN-14) for corrugate or GS1-128 if you need extra data (lot/date/weight). Some lines add QR/DataMatrix for internal traceability.

  • Direct print (high-res inkjet): Lowest consumable cost, ideal for porous corrugate, big bold codes, minimal waste.

  • Print-and-apply labels: Best for non-porous or dark boxes, highest barcode contrast/grade, more content (logos, compliance labels), but adds label stock and liner waste.

  • High-resolution piezo/thermal inkjet (HR/DOD): Sharp text/graphics on porous corrugate.

  • Large character valve jet: Simple, durable alphanumerics at very low cost.

  • Print-and-apply labelers: Applies preprinted or print-on-demand labels.
    (CIJ is common for primary packs, less so for case sides.)

Yes. Most solutions integrate with ERP/MES/WMS or a central code management server via Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, or simple TCP/serial. Template-driven, database-fed printing reduces operator entry errors and supports serialization.
