MEK-Free doesn’t mean Ketone-Free!
MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone, also known as Butanone) is an industrial solvent used in most inks and additives. It is a colourless, highly flammable ketone with a strong, sharp odour. Most coding inks on the market are advertised as “MEK-free”, implying that they don’t have ketone, but M Pack and Markem-Imaje can offer you genuine 100% Ketone-Free Ink.
The new Markem-Imaje 9660 Black Ink is completely Ketone-free and offers all the benefits that MEK-Free ink may not provide:
- Lower additive consumption – When used with the Markem-Imaje 9232 CIJ coder the 9660 ink will generate approx. 3.6ml/h of additive consumption compared to 4.2ml/h with standard ink. That means up to 15% less additive consumption
- Quick drying time on non-porous materials
- Lower odours and fumes – Giving you a safer and happier working environment.
The new Markem-Imaje 9660 Black Ink is also compatible with the 9020, 9030 and 9040 Markem-Imaje CIJ coders.
